Miguel Zenón – Sonero

‘Sonero: The Music of Ismael Rivera’, is the latest recording of Puerto Rican saxophonist Miguel Zenón. This masterpiece is a tribute to the vocalist and interpreter who revolutionized Latin-American music in the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s.

For the graphic design of this CD package, I have used as a reference and influence the legendary recordings of ‘La Fania All-Stars’. From the color selection to the typography, I’m not only trying to evoke the nostalgia and energy of the music of Ismael Rivera, I’m also trying to portrait the performance of  Miguel Zenon, whom with his music can take us to the past, revolutionize the present and left us aiming for more of his next music.
